Features and Benefits
Cup points have a cup-shaped indentation at the end of the set screw s tapered point. The internal cup grips surfaces, resists deformation and reduces stress. Cup points work well with soft materials that cannot take high torque.
Square drive types have square recesses and are driven with Crescent wrenches, open-ended wrenches and certain sockets. They are commonly used in woodworking in limited-clearance applications or when added torque is needed.
Steel is strong and durable but less corrosion resistant than stainless steel. To improve its resistance to corrosion, it may receive additional finishes and coatings.
